Do you dream of a perfectly aligned smile, but metal braces aren’t an option? Red Hill Dental Practice offers clear aligner therapy to transform crooked, overcrowded, and gapped teeth without the hassle of traditional braces. The system uses clear, removable aligners instead of metal wires and brackets. This technique gently guides your teeth into the desired position comfortably, discreetly, and conveniently over time.
Do you have crooked teeth or a misaligned bite? You no longer have to put up with a smile you don’t like. Regardless of your age, you can achieve an aligned smile with clear aligner therapy.
Here are the steps to transform your smile.
Even if you know you need orthodontic care, the first step is to schedule an appointment with a dentist. The dentist examines your teeth and bite to devise a personalised treatment plan. The dentist can use clear aligners to correct misaligned teeth and bite problems like cross bites, underbites, and open bites.
The dentist digitally scans your teeth to replicate your smile on a model. Unlike traditional impressions, digital scanning is comfortable, precise, and super-accurate. Amazingly, the clear aligner system lets us preview your smile before the aligners are created, more like “see before buying.”
If you are happy with the results, we’ll send your digital records to a dental lab to create your aligners. The lab will fabricate a set of custom-made aligners that’ll fit snugly over your teeth. Once the aligners are ready, they’ll be delivered to our office for collection.
When picking your aligners from our office, we’ll give you instructions on how to wear and maintain them. Your dentist will direct you to wear your aligners for at least 20-22 hours daily, even for minor orthodontic issues. Only take out your aligners when you’re eating or cleaning your teeth.
You will wear each set of aligners every two weeks and then change to the next set in line. Each set moves your teeth closer to your optimal alignment goals. During your treatment, you’ll visit a dentist every 6-8 weeks to monitor your treatment progress.
Depending on your case, clear aligners can take 9-18 months, sometimes shorter. After completing your treatment, your teeth will be better aligned, eliminating any signs of crookedness, overcrowding, or uneven gaps.
After treatment, we’ll give you a custom-made retainer to maintain your hard-won results. Without it, there’s a risk of your teeth reverting to their previous positions.
Transform your smile with the cutting-edge technology of clear aligner therapy. Red Hill Dental Practice provides SureSmile and Invisalign, giving you a range of choices to enhance your smile. Reach out to us at (03) 5907 5942 to embark on your journey toward a healthy, confident smile.
